Indeed, [O Muhammad], you do not guide whom you like, but
Allah guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.
[AL-QASAS C.28 : V.56]
Alhamdulillah, praise to Allah as we
have given another chance to meet in this blog. For Muslims, we must be
grateful because we got the greatest graces that are Iman and Islam. For the
non-Muslim, do not give up on the grace and the mercy of Allah as He is the
Most Gracious and the Most Merciful.
This blog generally and my entries
specifically are not totally my ideas. There are many things that inspired me
to write in this blog, so I took the ideas from various places and combined
together with my ideas to produce entries. So all these things are just sharing
my ideas, not to teach others. Based on the above verse from Quran said that
only Allah can give guidance (hidayah) to people He wanted. The prophet and
other people can only deliver the messages but not to open others hearts.
He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to Him
belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him.
And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
[AL-HASHR C.59 : V.24]
In the above verse, Allah claimed that
He is the Creator and He claimed He is the true God. In other religion they
believe in other God with different name, different in terms of characters and
others. There are also people that does not believe in God. So insyaAllah, today
we are going to discuss about how God come to an existence. Before going
further, we must know a few definition that may and may not related to God
first.
God
- being conceived as the perfect,
omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe, the principal
object of faith.
Created
– bring (something) into existence.
Born
– existing as a result of birth.
Birth
- the emergence of a baby or other young
from the body of its mother; the start of life as a physically separate being.
People said that everything have the
creator. It sounds nice, but it is not true statement. The true statement is,
every created thing have the creator. Allah is uncreated; therefore there is no
creator of Allah. The true definition of God is, He is uncreated. The moment
you ask, who create God, he is not God. I brought along the definition of born and birth because some believes that God was born. That is not true.
I want to give an example from Dr.
Zakir Naik. If your friend name John, he said that he admitted in hospital. He
gave birth to a child. Can you tell me or can you guess, he gave birth to baby
girl or boy? Can a man give birth to a child? So now you can realize that you
make a mistake. God cannot be created. When you ask a wrong question, of course
you will not get the right answer forever.
When we say that Allah the Almighty,
the most powerful, then we must think that if something created Allah, he must
be greater than Allah. For example we have 60V bulb, to light it we must have
electric source more than 60V. If we use 10V battery the bulb will not going to
light up. Similar here for Allah, where we can find something that more powerful
than Allah to give Him “the most powerful” title? Where to find the most
extensive knowledge to give to Allah so that He has the all knowledge? You will
never find it.
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One (1). Allah, the Eternal
Refuge (2). He neither begets nor is born (3). Nor is there to Him any
equivalent (4).”
[AL-IKHLAS C.112 : V.1-4]
In the Quran, Allah already mention in
one chapter about Him. We can use the verses in this chapter as the definition
to the creator or God. If there are someone claims he is God, we can identify
it using these verses. The shortest chapter in the Quran, but with powerful
meanings. Hold firmly this chapter and insyaAllah it gives many benefits to
you.
Let’s take a look on the first verse,
Allah said He only one. It is going to be very long if I want to explain this. Maybe
it needs another entry to talk about that. But in other religion, they believe
in one God. However their God is three God, the father, the son and the holy
spirit. There are three, but they claimed to be one. It is illogical for most
of us, but in reality there are people can accept that.
The second verse said that Allah is
eternal. If something or someone claims to be God, ask him whether he going to
die or not. Of course all things and all human beings going to die, so he will
never be a god. Only to Allah we hope, we rely on, we depend on and we pray to.
The third verse said that Allah does not give birth and not born. This verse we
already discuss above. All human beings come to earth when their parents gave
birth, except Jesus (pbuh) because he was born without father and Adam and Eve
as they are the first human beings. Although Adam and Eve are special, but they
are not god as they died.
The last and the important verse,
there are nothing equivalent to Allah. If my brother has 1 dollar and I have 5
dollar. That means I am richer than my brother. I wanted to say that it still
can be compare. 1 to 5 or 1 to thousands or 1 to millions or 1 to infinity, all
this can be compare. But Allah, we cannot compare even a single drop of water. His
is the greatest, how great He is? We cannot even think about it. Allah is not
like others, and nothing like Him. If you can imagine something, and you call
it God. You are wrong, that is not God.
He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate,
and He is, of all things, Knowing.
[AL-HADID C.57 : V.3]
Allah has no beginning and has no end,
He is eternal. He is the first and also the last. All of us are difficult to
accept this statement as we always see things that have beginning and have the
end. Human is born and die, trees grow and die, even the earth has the
beginning and going to be perish one day and so on. Even angels and devils also
will be taken their soul. So for our logical, it is difficult to accept this
fact. The conclusion is, that is Allah. Only He can do the impossible things. When
our mind is impossible to think about, that is Allah.
I hope that from this entry we can
learn something. To believe it or to refuse it, totally is your choice. No one
is forcing you to accept all these things. I just only deliver this message,
and only Allah that gives you the understanding. That’s all from me for the
time being. Thank you for giving your time to read this. Hope to meet you
again, insyaAllah.
Indeed, those who
disbelieve - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn
them - they will not believe (6). Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and
upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great
punishment (7).
